Mindfulness-Based
Stress Reduction
As students and members of its community, integrating stress reduction techniques into our day-to-day lives is important for our overall physical and mental health. Stress can have profound impacts on our bodies. The workload and the demands in the schoolwork have increased significantly. Students' busy schedules not only consist of exams and assignments but also extra-curriculum sports and clubs. By taking a mindfulness-first approach to reduce stress, we can begin to alleviate some of those impacts.
Through work with various schools and organizations, I can help foster mindfulness in the workplace and support positive outcomes related to stress reduction. Mindfulness practices are non-invasive health interventions that focus on behaviour therapy, kindness, self-compassion, and reflection.
These practices are evidence-based and successful in many different schools and professions. These techniques include skill-building, self-reflection, stress management techniques, and escalation processes within your school to help support students who may be experiencing challenges or have complex needs.
This Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) workshop is an 8-week workshop that focuses on creating a greater capacity for calm while teaching practical skills for managing stress.
